Improving Ericsson’s Cloud RAN CPI portal to support more dynamic content and better usability across internal teams.

I redefine the Cloud RAN CPI portal — a knowledge hub used by operators, customer units, development teams, and support teams. The goal was to transform a dense, text-heavy platform into a more dynamic, intuitive, and visually engaging experience aplying the Ericsson design System guidelines.

My Contribution

Led user research to clarify needs and refine requirements

Reframed the content structure to support multiple content types

Designed modular, dynamic layouts aligned with Ericsson Design System (EDS)

Introduced improved illustration styles and richer media opportunities

Collaborated with front-end teams to ensure feasibility and future implementation

Impact

A clearer and more flexible design direction that supports better navigation, stronger visual storytelling, and a more engaging experience for internal and external stakeholders.

Challenge

The Cloud RAN CPI portal had become text-heavy, visually static, and difficult to navigate across diverse user groups. Teams struggled to find relevant content, and the existing design system components couldn’t support the variety of materials needed. The challenge was to create a more dynamic, intuitive experience while staying aligned with Ericsson Design System standards.

Limited visual engagement

Static page layouts

Poor support for different content types

Need for better consistency with EDS

Lack of user insights from real stakeholders

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
